TC4 titanium alloy is a medium strength alpha beta type two-phase titanium alloy, containing 6% alpha stabilizing element AI and 4% beta stabilizing element V. TC4 titanium alloy has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties.
The chemical composition of TC4 titanium alloy material includes titanium (Ti) balance, aluminum (Al) 5.5%~6.8%, vanadium (V) 3.5%~4.5%, iron (Fe) ≤ 0.30%, oxygen (O) ≤ 0.20%, carbon (C) ≤ 0.10%, nitrogen (N) ≤ 0.05%, hydrogen (H) ≤ 0.015%, etc.
Characteristics of TC4 titanium alloy material:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance: TC4 titanium alloy has good corrosion resistance and can operate stably for a long time under harsh environmental conditions. Its corrosion resistance is superior to traditional materials such as stainless steel, and therefore it is widely used in fields such as chemical engineering and marine engineering.
2. High strength and lightweight: TC4 titanium alloy has a high specific strength, which means it can withstand greater forces per unit mass. Meanwhile, its low density gives it a significant advantage in applications that require lightweight materials. Therefore, in industries such as aerospace and automotive, TC4 titanium alloy has become an ideal material choice.
3. Good toughness and weldability: TC4 titanium alloy has good toughness and weldability, making it easy to process and connect during the manufacturing process. This gives TC4 titanium alloy great advantages in manufacturing complex structural components.
The hardness of TC4 titanium alloy material is 34-36HRC, melting point is 1670 ℃, tensile strength is 900-1100MPa, yield strength is 800-1000MPa, flexural strength is 600-800MPa, elastic modulus is 110-120MPa, hot deformation temperature is about 900-950 ℃, and linear expansion coefficient is 8.6x10 ^ -6 ℃.
TC4 titanium alloy forging process:
(1) At a deformation temperature of 1000 ℃ and a deformation amount of 50%, a deformation rate lower or higher than 2mm/s can help reduce the damage value of forgings and improve their quality.
(2) When the deformation temperature is 925 ℃, the deformation rate is 1000 mm/s, and the deformation amount is 70%, the forging quality is good.
(3) The influence of various forging process parameters on the maximum damage of TC4 titanium alloy forgings during forging deformation is in the order of deformation rate>deformation amount>deformation temperature.
